Where did May go???

Life has been so busy here lately...where did the month go???? It went flying by while we were busy getting play costumes together, science fair projects done, books read, going to Yosemite...I will be so glad when Evan gets out in 4 days!!!! I think his teacher packed EVERYTHING into last week.....

Soon he'll be a 6th grader and we'll be packing for South Carolina! Can't wait until we go...a week with Michelle....a week exploring the east coast....yeah!!!!

Been scrappin' a little but with all the other stuff I tend to stare more at the paper and stamps than do anything with them!!! Did take up a new family hobby.....geocaching! Treasure hunting for the 21st century! Got a GPS unit?...you too can geocach! Found 4 so far within a mile or two of the house....on the university campus, Medic Alert office grounds, the park....there's also a few that we've looked for and are stumped as to where it is....will have to try again! Once we looked at the website we discovered that there are little treasures EVERYWHERE!!!!

Summer has started here...boys officially started the swim season this weekend.....and Dave and I topped it off with a book and a beer while they swam!!!! Happy Memorial Day!

I have been scrappin' this weekend....went to a crop on Friday night for about 5 hours and had a great time. Finally got a chance to hang out with my wonderful friend Tina...I got about 8 pages done...here's a little slide show of my layouts and a few cards I made recently. I'm lovin' these Smileboxes!!!! So much fun to do..and super simple.

Hard to believe that it's almost June! Where have the months gone. Super busy with end of year things for Evan....the musical his class is doing, science fair, Oregon Trail projects, field trip to the park....while Alex still has a month to go! He's just getting finished with state testing...and then the fun will begin!

Only about 17 days before we leave for South Carolina! Can't wait to spend a week with my good friend Michelle....miss sitting around with her knitting or going out for a bike ride with her!

Here's an album of some of the photos I took earlier this week during the Environmental Living Program up in Yosemite National Park. What a wonderful experience for the kids...so many who never get out of our home town. So many had never been away from home, been to the mountains, or camped! It was a good opportunity to talk with our boys how fortunate they are to have been many places, and had many experiences. One little boy (2nd language learner and learning problems) thought that it was milk coming over the waterfall because that is the only white liquid he has experience with. He had a hard time believing when he was told it was water..."but water not white".

Been a while

Wow...it's been a while since my last post....life has been hectic here to say the least and there is no slowing down in the for-seeable future!!!!

The good thing is that for the 2nd weekend in a row I am home with NO BOYS!!! Whooo hoooo!!! Last weekend they were backpacking and at grandparents! This weekend they are all camping at the university for the Scouting Jamborall. I'll venture over there a little tomorrow afternoon and evening but plan on making use of the time to scrapbook uniterupted and guilt-free!!!!

Been doing a lot of scrappin' for my friend's store...designing a baby album for her now! AND a friend called me asking to pay me for making her ladybug cards....I was honored. Just being asked was enough...but she insisted on paying me.

Subbing lots....and lots....and lots.....in fact, finally took a day off yesterday cause I wasn't feeling well and needed a day to relax! Guess I shouldn't complain...it's money and most of the jobs are right here at our neighborhood school and I LOVE it there!

Only a month until Evan and I head to South Carolina for a week!!! I am so excited....was talking to my friend we are visiting and getting even more excited!!!! Gotta start getting things together to do on the plane....do not want Evan to get bored! Wish I had a portable DVD player....we have one for the car but it requires the car to run. Will have to look into that!
